Part Creative Director, part Writer, part Artist, part Creative Sherpa. For years, I chased great work that won awards—until I had an epiphany: if the work doesn’t increase the client’s sales, do the awards really matter?
That shift moved me toward creative that sells. Some call it Direct Response (a term that gets unfairly treated like a dirty word), but to me it’s what separates award winners from game changers.
And yes, I hear you—“Gary, tell us more about you.” Fair enough.
I love everything about creative and engagement. From an ad popping up on my phone (annoying as it may be) to 360° campaigns to the way I’m greeted in line at a store—it’s all influence. Not just the kind on social media, but the way a brand makes you feel from the very first “hello.” Including how you feel about me right now. Interesting? Arrogant? Proud? Long-winded?
